When Buddhism was introduced to the Han nationality areas in China, the traditional concept of Han culture was also reflected in the appearance and clothing of Buddha statues through the sculptures of Buddhist statue makers. Therefore, many Buddha and Bodhisattva statues with abundant cheeks, lobes and shoulders, and hands crossing knees appeared in temples in Han region.
